How it works

From idea to live site in twenty minutes.

Three pieces. A theme that ships ready, a Co-pilot you can chat with, and managed hosting if you want it. Here's exactly how they fit together.

The three pieces

SailWP is a free theme, an optional Co-pilot, and optional hosting. Pick all three, or just the parts you need.

Free, always

The Theme

SEO, analytics, 2FA, cookie consent, backups, multilanguage, an AI page builder. Built in. One 94 KB download, no plugin shopping.

Free · Pro from €19/mo

The Co-pilot

A chat box inside your WordPress admin. Ask it to write a page, change a headline, fix the SEO, translate to Spanish. It does the work, you check it. Free tier gives advice; Pro does the editing.

Optional

The Hosting

Managed WordPress hosting with SailWP pre-installed. No setup, no server admin. Use it, or bring your own host. SailWP doesn't care.

Start with the free theme. Add Co-pilot when you want to stop clicking through menus. Add hosting if you don't want to think about servers.

Your first twenty minutes

From a blank WordPress install to a finished homepage. Three steps, no plugin shopping.

1
Minute 0–2

Install the theme

Download sailwp.zip. In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, pick the file, click Activate.

You now have a working theme with SEO, analytics, 2FA, backups, cookie consent, and an AI page builder. No plugins to add. No accounts to make.

2
Minute 2–10

Run the setup wizard

The wizard pops up after activation. It asks four things:

  • What's your business about? (one sentence, in your own words)
  • Pick a color palette and font preset
  • Which pages do you want? (Home, About, Contact, Services, Blog)
  • Your business name, email, and timezone

The wizard builds the pages. You walk away with a coffee, you come back, the site is there.

3
Minute 10–20

Talk to the Co-pilot

This is the part that feels new. There's a chat panel in your WordPress admin. You type what you want changed, the Co-pilot does it, and you see the result.

No menus to hunt through, no block editor to learn. Works from your phone, too. Useful when you're at the kitchen table and remember you wanted to change a price.

What you can ask the Co-pilot

Plain English. No commands, no menus. A few examples of how a conversation might go.

Add a section on my homepage about my pricing, three tiers starting at twenty euros.
Done. Three-tier pricing block added below the hero, starting at €20. Want me to add a Stripe checkout button to each tier?
My homepage feels too cluttered. Can you make it cleaner?
I moved the testimonials below the fold and gave the hero more breathing room. The page now loads about 30% faster. Take a look.
Translate the whole site to Spanish.
Translated. Spanish version is live at /es/, language switcher added to the header. Want me to translate the blog posts too?
Write a blog post about why we switched from Mailchimp to Buttondown. Casual tone, around 600 words.
Drafted. Saved as a private draft so you can read it first. Title: "Why we left Mailchimp (and why you might too)". Want me to publish or do you want to edit?

See it for yourself

A real run, no cuts. Install to live homepage.

Around 60 seconds. Speed it up if you're impatient.

Things people ask first

Honest answers. If something's missing, tell us.

I already have a WordPress site. Can I switch to SailWP without losing my content?

Yes. SailWP is a theme, so switching is the same as switching any theme: your posts, pages, and media stay put. You'll want to deactivate the plugins SailWP replaces (Yoast, Cookiebot, etc.) one at a time so nothing breaks. The wizard helps with that.

What if I want a plugin SailWP doesn't replace? Like WooCommerce, or a forum?

Install it. SailWP is a standard WordPress theme. Every plugin in the WordPress.org directory still works. We replace the eight plugins that almost every site needs, so you can focus your plugin list on the ones specific to your business.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The wizard sets up the site, and the Co-pilot handles the changes after. The whole point is that you don't open a code editor or fight with the block editor. If you do know how to code, you can drop into the underlying files anytime. SailWP doesn't hide them.

Can I edit my site from my phone?

Yes. That's actually one of the reasons people pay for the Co-pilot. The WordPress admin on mobile is rough; the Co-pilot chat works fine on a phone. You can change a price, add a section, or fix a typo at the kitchen table.

Is the Co-pilot safe? What if it breaks my site?

Two safety nets. First, the Co-pilot shows you a preview before applying changes, so you can review anything before it goes live. Second, every change is reversible: WordPress's built-in revisions track each edit, and you can roll back from the chat. We've stress-tested this a lot.

What does it cost to keep running?

Theme is free, always. The Co-pilot has a free tier (advice only) and a Pro tier at €19/month or €190/year that does the editing for you. Hosting (if you use ours) is in the same range as Kinsta or WP Engine. See pricing for current numbers. No surprise plugin renewals at the bottom of the year.

Is this an open source project or a SaaS?

The theme is GPL v2+, fully open source, free forever. The Co-pilot is the SaaS part, which talks to an AI proxy we run. That's what the €19/month pays for. You can use the theme without ever signing up for the Co-pilot.

Twenty minutes from now, your site could be live.

Start with the free theme. Add the Co-pilot when you're ready.
